A little background... I've been playing the online version of Pangya for 3 years now starting from Season 1. It's a great game that got me hooked from the start and leveled up from a mere Rookie to now a veteran Senior. I've met a lot of great and skilled people from all over the world just by playing it on the international server from the now defunct A18 to the new home server of NTreev USA.
One thing lacked the online version, its the story behind all the action going on at Pangya Island. That's where the PSP version stands out. It gave me info behind how the characters inside the Pangya adventure came to be on the island and even the roles of the caddies. It really gives perspective on why a certain course is like this and why a certain situation came to be. I won't be ranting on for long but if you're asking me if the PSP version is worth it, the answer would be yes! It's both for the newbies and the veterans. Besides, there's a new character available on the PSP version that's not yet available online. ^__^
I've put the opening theme of the PSP version here. Enjoy!
Ever experienced playing a game that you don't understand? I'm not talking about super puzzle games or such but the ones that doesn't display a language you could understand ^^ If you like such a challenge then try these titles for the PSP: Super Robot Taisen A and Super Robot Taisen MX. Its true that its not much of fun if you don't understand the storyline of the game you are playing but the flashy display could make up for it, plus you get to see your favorite anime robots and give them commands to do their attacks as you see fit.
Watch the video and see for yourself ^_^
If you didn't play the first Ultimate Ninja Heroes title, you missed out on a solid fighting game that used 3D character models on a 2D combat plane, featuring lots of jumping, dashing and ninja techniques. Well, Phantom Fortress appears to be an expanded edition of the original title with new modes, characters and a few stages to boot. People who didn't play the original games will certainly benefit from this title.
If you played the fist Ultimate Ninja Heroes, this appears to be the exact same game from what we've seen (besides the new additions). A few modes appear to have been removed, including Promotion Test and Parameter Power-up, but otherwise the content is untouched. Characters, special moves, stages, music and overall game structure are all just about identical across the original title and its sequel. The biggest, most notable addition that has been made is the new Mugenjo mode, which adds a full story-driven campaign to the experience.
An improved version of the first release of the Naruto game, definitely a Must Have for PSP and Naruto fanatics.
Summer days for the Filipinos may have just come to an end but in the US, the fun has just started. With the release of 15 new games, gamers there have plenty to be excited about this summer.
