NATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Theme: Rise of the Gaming Gods!

1. Background
Create a short film inspired by any Level Up! Game, and get a chance to be seen and heard by the gaming community! Show off your creativity and directing style!

2. Eligibility & Registration
a. The filmmaking competition is open to all Filipinos, and may either be a non-player or player of any Level Up! game, (Ragnarok Online, R.F. Online, Flyff, Silkroad, Freestyle Online, Be There, Crazy Kart and Perfect World). If the participant is a player of any of Level Up! game, he/she can also win in-game items on the game of choice (only one game per winner).
b. Upload you videos in any file serving sites or in YouTube and fill up the registration form below and send to live@levelupgames.ph

d. Contestants will receive a confirmation e-mail from us and a registration number for record purposes. Kindly keep this application number.

e. Video entries can be uploaded in Youtube for easier retrieval, please provide the link in your registration form for us to see your video.

3. Duration
a. Submission of entries shall be from August 20 to October 6.
b. The top 10 entries will be shown during the Level Up! Live 2008 Rise of the Gaming Gods event. Please wait for official notice on the time of the National Film Fest Event.

4. General Conditions
1. Entries should be in either live-action or animated format and should not exceed 10 minutes and centered on the theme Rise of the Gaming Gods.
2. Contestants can base their film from any game published by Level Up! Games (Ragnarok Online, R.F. Online, Flyff, Silkroad, Freestyle Online, Be There, Crazy Kart and Perfect World) as long as the film is originally produced and edited by the participant.
3. For background effects/music, you can only use the Rok On album or soundtracks and musical themes from games published by Level Up! Games as your source. Originally-created music and score are permitted.
4. Movie files should preferably be in .avi or mpeg format.
5. Movie files like .avi should have a resolution of not less than 1024×768.
6. Entries can be in either Filipino or English. Entries in Filipino should contain English subtitles.
7. Entries can be uploaded in file uploading sites or in YouTube but must submit a hard copy after
8. For hard copies, entries must be saved to a CD and post mail/hand delivered to Level Up! Live National Film Fest c/o Level Up! Inc., 11F Pacific Star Building, Makati Ave cor. Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City 1200
9. All entries must be properly labeled with the following
o Director/ (Complete Name, complete address & landline number, mobile phone number, and e-mail address) & account’s username and server (if any)
o Title of Entry
10. There is no limit to the number of entries a participant can send but each entry must be submitted on a separate CD with a separate application form.
11. Entries will be shown at the Level Up! Live 2008 Rise of the Gaming Gods Event on October 18 - 19 at the World Trade Center, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.
o You can send your entry(ies) via courier service or personally submit at our Office with the proper label.

5. Winning Conditions Criteria for Judging
30% - Relevance to Theme
30% - Workmanship
20% - Creativity and Distinctiveness
20% - Overall Impact

a. The judges will determine the winner(s) for each award category based on the criteria
b. A winner can only win a major category once. All winners will receive a Certificate courtesy of Level Up! Games Inc.
c. Judges’ decision will be FINAL.
6. Winner List
a. Winners will be posted on LU Website and The Level Up! Live website 5 days after the competition.
b. Winners will be announced on stage during the event.

7. Prize(s)
In addition to Certificates of Participation, the winners shall also receive the following:

First place:
20,000 pesos in cash plus in-game items.

Second place:
15, 000 pesos in cash plus in-game items.

Third place:
8, 000 pesos in cash plus in-game items.

**Cash prizes will be given a month after player has provided valid details. In game items will be awarded by November 9 **
