Let's be honest. Almost all of the Transformers game ever released in the wild became a flop. I wonder why the developers even bothered. Maybe they're just riding on the momentum of the box office hit? But all that's changed now. The hype from the movie is gone and people has moved on. Well that is until Activision released War for Cybertron.

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a 3rd person shooter game released by Activision for the PC, Nintendo DS, Wii, Sony PS3, and Microsoft's XBox 360. The game's story takes place even before the classic animated debut of the series. It features the war between the Autobots and Decepticons on their home planet, Cybertron. Most players will be happy to know that the storyline will explain how it all started and how they all came together. I am one of those. :)

The game features a vast playing area with a robotic 'feel'. Chosen characters can transform at will and can be heavily customized. The game can be played via single player or by multiplayer co-op online mode for up to 3 players. When in single mode, the two characters along side will be controlled by the AI. The best feature is the multiplayer mode where players can acquire upgrades thru a level up system. The game has several multiplayer modes that I think will satisfy all fans of the genre.

Personally, the best selling point of the game is its superb graphics and visual presentation. It really makes you think that you are part of the robot world. The controls is easy enough to master with little practice. Players can just jump in and enjoy the game. Watch the trailer below! :)
