Ragnarok Philippine Championship 2008
Server Eliminations Mechanics

The road leading to the Ragnarok Philippine Championship 2008 is getting shorter and the coveted Emperium is well within reach. Different paths have been paved, with each guild following the one that takes advantage of their best qualities: the charisma of the Wild Card, the sieging prowess of the Agit Lords, and the combat expertise of the Regionals Champions. But in the end they all lead to one goal: to prove that they are the best guild in Ragnarok Online.

True Agit Lord<
• The four Agit Lords will fight against each other to determine who the True Agit Lord of the server will be.
• The four teams will fight in a 4-team Bracket Tournament. RPC match rules, regulations, and restrictions apply to the teams and the matches.
• This includes item restrictions, job restrictions, etc.
• Each match will be a best-of-3 rounds match.
• Each match will last 7 minutes.

True Wild Card
• The four Wild Cards will battle against each other to determine who the True Wild Card is.
• The four teams will fight in a 4-team Bracket Tournament. RPC match rules, regulations, and restrictions apply to the teams and the matches.
• This includes item restrictions, job restrictions, etc.
• Each match will be a best-of-3 rounds match.
• Each match will last 7 minutes.

Eligibility
• Agit Lords : Your guild must be one of the top 4 Agit Lords Contenders
• Wild Card : Your guild must be one of the top 4 Wild Card Contenders.
• Each participant is only allowed to join once for the whole Tournament itself.

Qualification Confirmation
- The guildmaster must send their line-up in excel sheet including the following details:
- Guild Name
- Team Captain
- Server
- Real Name
- Address
- Email Address
- Contact Number
- Submit your line-up form no later than August 27 (12:00 NN cut-off time) then send it to gm-chastity@levelupgames.ph.
- Accounts will be provided, Username and password will be sent through the Guildmaster’s email.
- Once the line-up is submitted and verified, the Guildmaster will receive a confirmation letter together with the Username and password of the accounts.
- The guildmaster then must send a confirmation upon receiving the accounts.
- The players are responsible for the safety of their accounts. Any hacks, lost of passwords will not be entertained.

Duration/Schedule
1. Submission of Qualification/Line up Form: August 27 (cut-off: 12:00 NN)
2. Match-up : August 26
3. Tournament Accounts to be issued : August 28

All matches will be held in Sakray server from 8:00pm onwards.

Note: Exact time for matches will be posted once the match-up is determined.

Mechanics
• All Matches will start at 8:00pm onwards.
• A team will be called for their turn within 15 minutes, if they do not appear within the allotted time, their turn will be forfeited.
• Lag, human error, or other technical error from the player’s side will not stop the game.
• The Game Masters have the right to stop the match if needed.
• The resurrected team will be given another set of accounts after their first match.

Match-up rules
• The guildmasters of each qualified guild will be summoned by the designated Level Up! GM on August 26, 2008 (Tuesday):
- Baldur : 8:00pm
- Tyr: 8:30pm
- Freya: 9:00pm
- Valkyrie: 9:30pm
- Valhalla: 10:00pm
• A designated Level Up! GM will call upon the guilds one by one, then the GM will roll a die in game (via the /dice command) which will corresponds to the Guild’s number. (even or odd).
• Matchups would be Even number versus Even number, Odd number versus Odd number.
• Ex1.> GM called in Guild1, GM rolled a dice and got 5. GM called in Guild2, GM rolled the dice and got 3. Guild 1 and 2 will be paired for the battle.
Ex2.> GM called in Guild1, GM rolled a dice and got 4. GM called in Guild2, GM rolled the dice a got 3. The GM will then call Guild3, GM will roll a dice and got 2. Match up will be:
Guild 1 vs Guild 3
Guild 2 vs Guild 4

Tournament Rules

a) The tournament will be a 7 vs 7 team match

b) Players may set-up their characters once they have received their accounts.

c) The match will be a have a best-of-3 rounds.

Tie breaks will be determined by the number of surviving members.

d) Any ties after the stated tie-breaker conditions are subject to a 1-round sudden-death match with NO HP or SP restoring items and no High Priest.

Use of other skills, on the other hand, is restricted until the marshals give their go signal. Offending players will be given a warning; then on the second offense, penalty will be disqualification from the tournament. The same rule holds for those who attack a tournament marshal.

e) Each match will last 7 minutes.

Item, Skill and Character Restrictions
a. Only Transcendent Characters are allowed.

• Paladin
• Assassin Cross
• Stalker
• Sniper
• Clown
• Gypsy
• High Wizard
• Professor
• High Priest
• Champion
• Whitesmith
• Creator

b. Level restrictions. High Priests, High Wizards and Snipers are set at level 85 while the rest are at level 90.

c. All job levels are at 60. The first Job Lv. of all job classes is 50 and second job is Job Lv 60.

d. NO repeating classes.

e. 10M zeny will be allocated for each participant to use till the end of the tournament.

f. Item drop and trade has been disabled. Use of Vending skill is prohibited.

g. Here are the lists of items that are available.

h. Special Item Rules: All Assassin Crosses will have 3 Poison bottles automatically given to the character, while all Biochemists will have 5 Acid Bottles and 5 Fire Bottles automatically given. THESE WILL NOT BE REPLENISHED AT ANY POINT DURING THE SERVER ELIMINATIONS.

i. Plagiarism skill of Stalker will be learned through the match itself or while the match is ongoing.

Player Responsibilities
1. Players must follow the rules interpretations and guidelines for play set forth by the RPC Tournament Committee, the Tournament Director, the head judge, and other tournament officials.
2. Players are expected to behave in a respectful and sporting manner at all times.
3. Players who argue with or fail to follow the instructions of the Tournament Director, head judge or other tournament officials are subject to the appropriate penalties as the case may be.
4. Level Up and/or officials of the RPC Tournament Committee reserve the right to suspend or ban a player or guild without prior notice for any reason deemed necessary.
5. The decision of the Referees, Game Masters, and tournament officials ARE FINAL.
6. Level Up has the right to change/delete portions/expound/clarify/interpret tournament rules depending on circumstances as they see fit for a fair and balanced competition environment.

TOURNAMENT-PROPER RULES, PROCEDURES AND REGULATIONS
1. The start of a match will be signaled by marshaling Vanguards. Players may start casting buffs during the count down. Use of other skills, on the other hand, is restricted until the marshals give their go signal. Offending players will be given a warning; then on the second offense, penalty will be disqualification from the tournament. The same rule holds for those who attack a tournament marshal.

2. Lag will not stop the clock. Disconnection will not stop the clock. Once a game has already started, disconnection of players from the servers, regardless of their number, will not stop the match. If a whole team is abnormally logged off while a game is ongoing, the team forfeits the match. It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUILDMASTER AND THE ENTIRE TEAM TO ENSURE THAT THEIR CONNECTIONS, HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE ARE ALL WORKING.

3. Any event that transpires (including Character kills and fouls) before a match is paused is considered legal.

4. The GMs, Marshalls and Tournament Committees’ DECISION IS FINAL

5. A team is considered to have won the round if they have met the following conditions:
• The team kills ALL members of the opposing team
• The team has the most number of kills after the determined match period

6. CONCEDING – Conceding a match can only be done before the match begins.

7. FOULS:
• Zoning Foul – This is defined as moving your character in an unauthorized area or refusing to follow move orders issued by the GM in-game.
• Skill Foul – This is defined as using skills in the tournament area before the countdown by the head marshal.
• Striking Foul – This is defined as striking any of the GMs in game.
• Technical Foul – This is defined as engaging in any behavior that is unsportsmanlike and includes excessive profanity or violence against property or individuals including the marshals.

Fouls are counted as “kills” on the team, that is, they are subtracted from the number of surviving members of a team to determine the final score.
Ex: Team A has 2 fouls and 6 surviving members at the end of the fight. They will be treated as having only 4 surviving members. - A team that accumulates 3 or more fouls is automatically loses a game -

8. Level Up employees up to the 2nd degree of affinity and consanguinity are disqualified from joining the Regional Opens, Inter-Server Eliminations, Inter-server Finals and National Finals of RPC 2008.

9. Trash-talking is allowed to an extent. Please avoid cussing and profanity during all stages of the tournament

***Level-Up has the right to modify the mechanics if deemed necessary.
