What is the World Cyber Games (WCG)?
The World Cyber Games is the world's first "Cyber Game Festival" designed to build a healthy cyber culture. The best gamers around the world gather into different cities to share the excitement and fun of the game tournaments. Philippines is one of the countries that participate in this international event annually since 2002. WCG has been around since 2001. So after four weeks of exhilarating tournament, the 2008 WCG Manila finalists are now revealed. These teams/players will have their final battle on July 10 – 13 at SM Mall of Asia. At the final weekend tiebreaker, the Asia Cyber Games tournament was also held at the Villman Gaming, Cyberzone, SM Megamall. The winners for these games (Virtua Fighter 5 and Need for Speed Prostreet) will represent the country at the ACG Finals in Singapore.
